1462-1521 Italian Piero di Cosimo Galleries Italian painter and draughtsman. Tax declarations made by Piero di Cosimo's father suggest that the artist was born in either 1461 or 1462. According to the first, he was eight years old in 1469, while a catasto (land registry declaration) of 1480 gives his age as 18. A document of 1457 establishes that his father, Lorenzo di Piero d'Antonio, was a maker of small tools (succhiellinaio) rather than a goldsmith, as Vasari claimed. S.T.Gill
Australian original water-colour drawings and prints b.1818-d.1880 also known by his signature S.T.G., was and English-born Australian artist. Gill was born in Perriton, Somerset, England, the eldest of five children. His father, the Reverend Samuel Gill, became headmaster of a school at Plymouth, and the son was educated first at this school and then at Dr Seabrook's Academy, Plymouth. Having moved to London, he was employed as a draughtsman and watercolour painter by the Hubard Profile Gallery, before departing for the colony of South Australia in 1839 with his parents.
Henry Mark Anthony
(4 August 1817 - 1 December 1886) was an English landscape artist, often favourably compared to John Constable by critics. He exhibited at many major art institutions and travelled widely, being credited with introducing the en plein air style of painting to Britain.
